How to verify my wordpress site on Google Webmaster Tools?

1. Log in to your wordpress dashboard.

2. Click on Plugins.

3. On the Plugins screen, click on Add New.

4. On the Install Plugins screen, under the Search tab, enter All in One Webmaster into theSearch field, and click Search Plugins.

5. On the Search Results page, look for All in One Webmaster and then click Install Now just below it.

6. Click OK on the message box that comes up.

7. After the plugin has been successfully installed, activate it by clicking Activate Plugin.

 

To verify your site in Google Webmaster tools using the All in One Webmaster plugin:

1. In your Google Webmaster Tools account, select Add a meta tag to your site's home page as the verification method.

2. It will then give you a code similar to the code below. Copy the value defined for content.Make sure you copy every characters enclosed in the quotation marks.

3. In your wordpress dashboard, go to Settings > All In One Webmaster.

4. Paste the code you copied earlier from your Google Webmaster Tools account into theGoogle WebMaster Central field. If you also already have your Bing Webmaster Centerand Yahoo Site Explorer codes, enter them into the corresponding fields as well.

 

5. Scroll down and click the Update Options button.

 

6. Go back to your Google Webmaster Tools account and click on the Verify button.
